jellybean parts

This is a list of parts that are ubiquitous and should be restocked whenever we run out. Please use your better judgement on quantities. Assume through hole unless otherwise mentioned. If you notice something is out, but are not in a place to purchase it, please note it below. Some things are labeled as optional for visibility

guidelines for parts: parts on this list should be easily attainable, widely applicable, and be friendly with protoboard unless there is a very good reason it should otherwise be included. Please avoid redundancy for the sake of redundancy.

purchasing recommendations: please buy a normal amount of things in a package that is protoboard/breadboard friendly. Please purchase tube (for dip and larger packages) or tape (for small parts) packed parts where available

passives

Resistors

We should be stocking 1/4w resistors in all e6 values from 100ohm-1M and 1w resistors in e3 values from 1ohm-1k. A handfull of >10ohm power resistors (5-10w) is also welcome

Atmega 328p (arduino uno)

Esp32 (preferred version?)

regulators/references

Lm317/337 - adjustable, not ldo. Requires minimum load

78xx/79xx series - not ldo, but everywhere in different fixed voltages

1117 - ldo, has stability considerations, comes in multiple voltages or adjustable. Stock the 3.3v version, because it can step down from a 5v supply

Tl431 - general purpose voltage reference, open loop

Lm4040/4041 - general purpose voltage reference

opamps/comparators

Ne5532 - jfet input, common for audio, better behaved then the 072

Lm393 - general purpose comparator

Lm358 - the most generic opamp

mcp6022 (optional) - rail to rail, but low voltage only
