The new shibari PC
After some reliability issues with the old PC (possibly related to video card hanging by the PSU cable) User:Zack and User:Lunacy decided to rebuild the shibari PC better than ever. We elected to use an actual shibari harness this time because otherwise it's kinda stolen valor.
Hypha picked up a mannequin from a store in U Village that was selling their old ones and some parts to sink into its chest. It took two weekends but we did it.
Features
The new PC offers some amenities that the old one didn't have.
Bottom panel I/O
You can plug USB drives or 3.5mm audio cables directly into the cable hanging from her strap-on harness.
Integrated graphics
No more video card to shift around when you breathe next to it, and one less thing to potentially fall onto you while you're on the bean bag.
Right-side-up monitor
Now we don't need to flip the video output in software.
U-Bolt choker
It's kinda hot. Don't get any ideas, puppygirls.
Safety
Zack and Hypha put a lot of effort into making sure it isn't going to come apart in the air, but it's still probably wise to spread the load across two different eye bolts in case one fails (this also makes it less likely for one to fail probably). As of July 1, 2026, this has not been done. It will require moving one of the eye bolts (the one that missed the joist) into an adjacent joist then redoing the uplines.
The monitor attachment looks precarious but the metal bar coming out of the back of the neck is connected directly to a wood endoskeleton inside the mannequin. It's on there really good. Additionally, there is a steel cable connecting the monitor to the rope harness itself. If the harness is ever re-tied the cable must be re-connected.
