some subset of devhackers love radio!

so here we are :)

our frequencies:

Analog

baofengs, quanshengs, etc lowest common denominator - easy for others to listen, but works on just about everything VHF ham simplex: 145.690 MHz, 100Hz CTCSS/PL TX and RX

UHF ham simplex: 445.850 MHz, 100Hz CTCSS/PL TX and RX

DMR

Digital Mobile Radio, a digital radio spec that's open and a lot of chinese manufacturers make radios for (as well as Motorola, with their motoTRBO systems. mototrbo is great except they bent the standard a lot so expect hacky compat stuff in your radios. also expect an awful radio programming experience)

VHF ham simplex: 145.690 MHz, Color Code 1, TG 3384225

UHF ham simplex: 445.850 MHz, Color Code 1, TG 3384225

P25

god's gift to radio. not actually used yet but maybe someday!

UHF ham simplex: 445.850 MHz, NAC $539, TG 3384225
