3D printer, the one that's black, boxxy, and partially enclosed. This machine is located in the Focus Foundry.
How to Slice
The recommended slicer is FlashForge's proprietary slicer, FlashPrint. FlashPrint does not work on modern MacOS and is generally just old as shit.
You do not need to use FlashPrint, however, this printer only accepts .x3g files. To convert from .gcode to x3g, postprocessing needs to be done. Check here for how to get PrusaSlicer setup to print on this machine.
FlashPrint will be more plug and play though. So if you can get it installed and working, it might be the faster option.
This printer prints from an SD card. The slot is behind the front lip.
Advisories
Please keep the SD card in the machine when you're done with it.
Please turn off the machine when you are done with it. The power button is on the left side, rear panel, past the power cable.
The filament spool is around the back. Currently, only the left extruder is hooked up. There is no spool holder for the right extruder, nor is there a bowden tube. For easier access, you can go into the server room and open the door that is behind the shelf.
Please do not use gluesticks unless you absolutely need to. This printer's bed was leveled on 11/18/24. When using glue, use the side of the plate that has already had glue applied.
